The problem we have today with flat-base…

The problem we have today with flat-based usage is that you are trying to encourage customers to be efficient in use and applications but you are getting some people who are bandwidth hogs using gigabytes a month and they are paying something like megabytes a month. That isn’t long-term sustainable. Why should customers using an average amount of bandwidth be subsidizing bandwidth hogs?

Google just launched “Near me now” htt…

Google just launched “Near me now” http://googlemobile.blogspot.com/2010/01/finding-places-near-me-now-is-easier.html
Haven’t tested it yet, but the UI looks decent and easy.

This new feature enables Google to eat into the business of yellow page providers and internet players like qype. Allowing Google to deliver relevant eyeballs to smaller and local businesses.
However, the challenge is selling internet ads to small and very small enterprises (e.g. restaurant, bars, doctors, lawyers) if you don’t have a sales force on the ground.
